Same with vocals depending on how bad or good they are.Audio MIDI Sequencer (DAW) (Download) Annual licence incl. My kicks and bass sometimes use all 16 inserts depending on if i chose the right sounds when in creation mode I use the waves rta f6 for cool shit like ducking frequencies in the bass when the kick hits and ducking the vocal ranges with the vox buss on the track bus and sometimes i will bus the kick/bass to further blend them plop me in front of any daw, and ill get you a great mix.period. Knowing your monitors and room inside out, you can use cakewalk/garageband/audacity/reaper/anything and get a great mix. Im just way faster in pro tools tracking vocals because its easier to pull up a template, with my goto plugs and busses and goīeing an engineer for many years, I realized I HAD to use pro tools for MY CLIENTS, not ME.īut the reality is bro - its not your gear - its your ears My channels i use the most plugins are kick, bass & main voxes and sometimes a vocal bus I use an 8 year old rig, quad xeon/16gb ram/ssd tracking external drive & protools 12.something I can literally run 100 pro tools plugins without a problem (i dont, i keep it simple but i have used 100+ for fun) Ozone on the mix bus is the last thing i do because its. Why? because the plugins in pro tools do not hog resources like fl studio-they arent vst they are aax which are much more optimized for the newer processers/ramįl studio is not intuitive-at all ive spent countless hours on youtube just learning it this is because of the instruments i use but if you export the files as waves and create a new session for vocals, fl studio can sound as great as pro tools without all the headroom being wasted on omni's & etcīut if im gonna dump a beat trackout, im gonna track vocals in pro tools, period Ive used em both for years - and imho flstudio is a resource hog when just making a beat, let alone tracking vocals too.
